Do I need the Intro Kit to build this?
Yes. Theme Builds use the electronic components from the Intro to Circuits Kit. If you don't have it yet, add the Intro Kit first. This build then puts those same components into a new shape.
What ages is this for?

Does it really work with LEGO?

No. SparkBlocks are deliberately screen-free. Everything you need is in the printed assembly guide.

Nice design, for an experienced brick builder good manual and easy to build.
The fire truck is approximately 20x8x8cm.
I would recommend to build the upper and the side door like in the attached photo.

This was extremely fun for my curious 6 year old. She was really intrigued by the lights and motorized wheels and had a lot of questions about how they worked. What a great learning experience!
