A few questions?
Which kit should I start with?
The Intro to Circuits Kit. It has the battery, motor, LEDs, speaker and switches you need to build a working circuit straight away, plus the printed Learning Guide and six builds to follow.
After that the Expansion Kit adds transistors, capacitors and a remote block for more complex circuits. If you already know you want both, the Advanced Bundle is the two kits in one box and costs less than buying them apart.
What do Theme Builds need?
An Intro to Circuits Kit. Each Theme Build ships the bricks and instructions for one model, like the Walking Ant or the Fire Truck, and borrows the electronics from your Intro Kit. They are projects rather than starter sets, so if you don't have a kit yet, start there.
What age are the kits for?
Ages 8 and up, and the sweet spot is around 8 to 12. Builders of 5 to 7 usually want a parent nearby, though the assembly diagrams are pictures only, so nothing needs reading. Plenty of older kids and adults build with them too.
