I bought a few starter packs for my boys and the expansion for me. It's definitely a higher level skill. I'm only half-way through the book but I'm having a blast.

Bought this kit for my daughter and she’s been super into it. It’s awesome to see how curious she is. The instructions are easy to follow and she’s so satisfied to see the projects work. It’s been quite enjoyable to connect, learn and discover together. Looking forward to our next build session.
Was this helpful?SparkBlocks1 week agoLove to hear this, Saul! One of our goals with SparkBlocks was to create opportunities for exactly these kinds of shared experiences. Seeing curiosity turn into satisfaction/confidence is so powerful! Thanks for building with us! ⚡
- WWatooVerified ReviewerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 stars2 weeks agoGreat toy for creativity and introduction into electricity and circuitry.
I got the basic kit, the expansion pack and the walking ant model. My little one is only 3.5 years old so she’s not really getting the electrical circuitry thing just yet but it is a very visual way to teach her that when things are connected up to a source of power, they can give out lights/sound/movement etc. She’s having a great time just putting the LED block on the battery pack then taking it off in an infinite loop. I think it’s me that’s getting the most out of these kits atm but I’m sure my little one will grow into this.
The circuitry concept did take some time for me to understand (coming from a non-tech background) but I’m getting there. The block quality are good. Not excellent but very decently made and they fit together absolutely fine. One outstanding aspect is the company’s customer service! The battery and motor in my set arrived slightly defective, the company was extremely fast to respond and arrange for replacements. I was very very impressed.
Was this helpful?SparkBlocks2 weeks agoReally thoughtful review, thank you Watoo. And yes, for younger builders, even simple cause-and-effect moments like turning on a light can be magical learning. Also appreciate the kind words about support, we know early production runs aren’t perfect and we work hard to make things right quickly when issues pop up. (And make sure to check the updated build pictures for the night light for the Expansion Kit! It's on SparkBlocks.ca/info ) Keep building!

Must have for every electrician or electronics enthusiast!
Easy to build and fits well.
Keep building SparkBlocks!
Was this helpful?SparkBlocks2 weeks agoAppreciate it Chris! Glad you’re enjoying the Expansion Kit, there’s a lot of creative potential packed into those extra components.
- JRJulia R.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 out of 5 stars3 weeks agoFantastic!
My 9 year old loves it! He started off following the instructions and quickly moved to making his own creations. His favorite so far was making a vehicle that moves :) It's been a great way to take his interest in Minestone circuits and translate that into something more hands-on that he loves just as much. Money well spent!
Was this helpful?SparkBlocks2 weeks agoThis is fantastic to hear. Going from following instructions to inventing original moving creations is exactly the progression we hope for. Also love the Minecraft-to-real-circuits connection, that’s such a cool bridge into hands-on STEM learning. ⚡
