Shipping is worked out at checkout. Put what you want in the cart, enter your address, and the real rate for your order appears before you pay. Our shipping policy says it plainly: shipping costs depend on your location, order size and selected shipping method, and final rates are calculated at checkout.
There is no flat rate, and nothing gets added after you have paid.
Free shipping
From the shipping policy, word for word: "Free shipping is available on orders over $200, in the currency you are charged in. That means over CA$200 for orders going to Canada, and over US$200 for orders going to the United States."
Two things worth knowing about it.
It is Canada and the United States only. Orders going anywhere else pay the calculated rate, whatever the order total.
There is no code to enter. If your order qualifies, the free option simply appears at checkout alongside the paid ones. If you think your order qualifies and the free option is not showing, stop before you pay and email us at Info@SparkBlocks.ca.
Why shipping outside North America costs what it does
We are small, and we do not get the volume discounts the big carriers give large shippers. The rate you see at checkout is close to exactly what it costs us to send the parcel. It is not a markup, and there is no cheaper service we are keeping in reserve.
What the shipping rate does not cover
The rate at checkout pays for carriage only. If your order crosses a border, your own country may charge duty or import tax on top, and that is charged by customs or the carrier rather than by us. See Customs, duties and import taxes.
