A refund happens in two stages, and people usually only count the first one.
Stage one: we send the refund
On a return, the clock starts when the kit reaches our warehouse and we have checked it over, not when you hand it to the carrier. Our refund policy says it this way: once we receive and inspect the returned kit, we refund the original purchase price to your original payment method.
On a cancellation before dispatch, there is nothing to send back and nothing to inspect, so we skip straight to the refund as soon as the order is cancelled.
Either way, we process the refund within 5 to 7 business days of the kit reaching our warehouse. How quickly it then shows up on your statement is down to your bank.
Stage two: your bank shows it
Once we press refund, the money leaves us. Your bank or card issuer then adds its own processing before the amount shows up on your statement, and how long that takes varies by bank and by country. That part is genuinely outside our control, and it is the most common reason a refund looks missing when it has already been sent.
Where the money goes
Back to the card or account you paid with. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, and we do not issue store credit instead of a refund.
How much comes back
That depends on whether you cancelled or returned. Can I cancel my order? and Our return policy, in plain words both show the numbers.
It still has not arrived
If the processing window above has passed and your bank has had a few days on top of that, email Info@SparkBlocks.ca with your order number. We can confirm the date and amount we refunded, which is what your bank will ask for if they need to trace it.
